OK I do know a bit about computers... I know the Garmin's dont come with this installed. I have a U.S. version Nuvi 370, I am sure it can run video, as well as play the mp3s that is does and pictures. Can you please post links to how this is done. Also
What makes you "sure it can run video"?
AFAIK - they can't. If they did - Garmin would be using it as marketing.
You are possibly confusing a computer with a piece of dedicated hardware. GPS units are dedicated hardware. Unlike
It's official: Garmin now owns Navigon AG. You'll likely recognize Garmin as the manufacturer of the Nuvi and Zumi lines of portable navigation devices and Navigon as the creator of navigation apps for iOS and Android . Garmin announced that it had signed an agreement to purchase Navigon back in mid-June and today announced that the acquisition has been completed for an undisclosed amount.
In absorbing Navigon, Garmin stated that it was "also acquiring one of the top-selling navigation applications for the iPhone and Android platforms." This is important because the portable navigation devices have been losing ground to smartphone navigation apps, a market that Garmin has not played a large role in until now. Garmin will also be getting Navigon's market share in the European portable navigation device market and OEM automotive navigation technologies.
Navigon board member Egon Minar states, "We are excited to be a part of Garmin and we look forward to turning our efforts toward integration and the opportunities ahead. Navigon has an innovative new product lineup that we're excited to bring to market in time for the holiday 2011 season and beyond."

Garmin's nuvi 2240 can now be had for £85 with UK maps, although the European version will set you back £25 more. Build quality is up to Garmin's usual standards, but the range of features does not cover all of the company's latest widgets.
When Garmin released its first live-enabled sat-nav in the UK, the nuvi 1690, it seemed like finally TomTom had a heavyweight competitor. But Garmin hasn't followed up that promising start with further devices, until now. The nuLink!
