Just got the Garmin and I am not very handy with it. Need to go long distances in short time so I would really appreciate it!
The TMC, if you have the optional bits to get the signal, uses the traffic management system to display jams etc on the Sat nav. You should then have an option to route around the jam or not.
It does not as another answerer has said take
I am looking at most likely a Garmin Nuvi 250 or 350. Most likely will get the 250... but wondered about the TMC compatibility on the 350 model.
It says it supports TMC when I look on the bestbuy.ca website so I can only assume that one

Martin’s attitude mirrors that of Tom Danielson ahead of this year’s Tour de France. The American went into his debut Tour admitting privately that he was in his best form, but publicly he talked about taking things ‘day-by-day’, even though before the race, manager Jonathan Vaughters had already earmarked him as the team’s best placed weapon for an attack on the top ten.
“Jonathan has said to me that it would be interesting to see what I could do on GC and I’m going into it with a focus of doing as well as I can,” Martin said.
“I’m just going to try and do both, but I’ve not really thought too much about ambitions. If my form is good I’ll be near the front.”
And Martin’s form certainly seems to be improving. A stage in the Tour of Poland led to his coach telling him he was in better form that at this point last year, something he will try and utilise out on Spanish roads.
Italian bike ride on, granfondos, travel magazine stories, there is a good time cycling in Italy, the Italian cycling history, etc. are always welcome.
First of all, Rebellin won the Tre Valli Varesine at the tender age of 40. This makes me wonder: if he goes so fast now that he's 40 and that he's not doping, how come that he didn't win the 2008 Olympics? Secondly, one recent news says that just four Swiss and Norwegian riders will have the chance of taking part in the Worlds this year. In my opinion this is absurd, especially if you consider that Iran and Morocco will have the chance of bringing 6 riders each to Copenhagen. Now, does anyone know at least one rider from Iran or Morocco? Personally, I don't. On the other hand, instead, I do know more than 4 riders from Switzerland (or from Norwegy). Cancellara, Bertogliati, Albasini, Frank, Morabito, Schaer, Tschopp Zaugg... It will be hard to pick just 3 of them, won't it? Another hot topic in these days is cycling market. Talking about that: Langeveld has recently announced he'll join GreenEdge next year, whereas Degenkolb has officially said that he's...
The Geox-TMC rider quickly caught and passed Dan Martin (Garmin-Cervello) and Euskaltel's Benat Intxausti and with 5.6 km to go caught Igor Anton (Euskaltel-Euskadi) and was alone on his attack with 5 km to go. climbing through massive crowds as he
Chris Froome (GB - Team Sky) four hous 52 minutes 38 seconds, 2 Juan José Cobo (Spa - Geox-TMC) 1sec, 3. Bauke Mollema (Hol - Rabobank) 21secs, 4. Daniel Martin (Irl - Garmin-Cervelo) 24secs, 5. Igor Anton (Spa - Euskaltel-Euskadi) 27secs, 6.
When the Angliru ramped up toward 20 percent gradients, Anton moved past a break that included Dan Martin (Garmin-Cervelo), Marzio Bruseghin (Movistar), and Carlos Sastre (Geox-TMC). He was alone for a kilometer or two before Cobo made his move,
