Can you get a POI plug in for Garmin i3 to detect if you are speeding?
Oct 16, 2006 by dont_let_go_the_coat | Posted in Other - Electronics
Someone told me you can get a Points of Interest (POI) for the Garmin StreetPilot i3 that alerts you if you are going faster than the speed limit of the area your in. I can't seem to find this though. Is it real and if so where can it be found? Thanks!
There are no POI databases to tell you if you're speeding.
There do exist POI databases for known speedcamera positions. These are mostly found in Europe and Australia, but some exist in the states, as well as red-light camera's.

How do I find a POI on my Garmin?
Aug 15, 2010 by Shaydie | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I downloaded a POI to my Garmin. I don't know how to find it on the device. When I go to "points of interest" it's just the usual menu that asks me to spell the name of what I'm looking for or tells me where the nearest bank/gas station/etc
There is a option in the Where to? menu called Extra's. All points you load will show up here if properly transferred.
1. Click on "Where to?"
2. Click on "Extra's"
3. Select the point in your extra's

This is my blog about trading power for money. At first, it began as a study with my own blog now. One year (August 9, 2011, August 9, 2012), I promised to play with toys, I now have. However, it also identified borrow toys and play with friends or find creative ways to get new toys. Our goal will be to see how creative I can. From here, the development of barter blog. It just makes more sense as a trading power for money blog, because the final outcome, I want to happen is a boat, I think I end - not just any ship.Since I live in Los Angeles, and about two blocks from the water and a pier, it is very easy, I got a boat - the hard part will be acquired, I think - this is a trawlers. The best place I found is actually barter in Craigslist....

Garmin's menu has been quite easy for newcomers to get to grips with for some years. A single Where To? icon takes you to a familiar submenu of options, where you can enter an address or search for a Point of Interest (POI).
