I just got a GPS and the directions tell me to snap the cradle onto the suction cup arm. Well I see both parts, but don't see how to snap it on. I see the arm and the hole where you're supposed to snap it on, but it doesn't seem to snap on. Is it supposed

The ball is supposed to snap into the socket it you press it hard enough, and work on the same principle as your shoulder socket.

I'm going to be traveling in MN for a short vacation (wedding) and I'm wondering what the cheapest way to mount the GPS will be. MN has that fun law of no windshield suction cup mounts which is what my Nuvi came with and I always use.

Use the Bracketron Nav-Mat. It works great. I used it when I went on a trip to Las Vegas. Much easier than sticking the suction cup mount onto the rental car.

I installed this on the roll cage of my Yamaha Rhino. I was using a Garmin suction cup mount but it tended to come loose due to the vibration and jarring when driving the Rhino off road, or even on rough roads. I decided to try this mount instead, Unfortunately even the largest U-bolt was too small for the roll cage tubing so I had to clamp it to one of the hand holds, above the front windshield area. Although, it is not where I hoped to mount it, that is actually not a bad location.

Pros: I am very happy with the mount. The mount held my GPS securely for the entire trip and never required any position readjustment. It came with 2 different sizes of the mounting u-bolts, handy since my handle bars are larger than the stock bars. I added some heat shrink tubing to the u-bolt to prevent any scratches to the handle bars, in case I want to move or remove the mount. I recommend this mount to any rider wanting to travel with a GPS as an addition to their trusty map.
