I just bought my boyfriend the garmin nuvi 680 for his birthday and the salesman told me how in order to have maps on it I must have an sd card...is this true? What is the point of the sd card? I thought they came with maps already on them! So confused...

I was recently given a garmin nuvi 680 (brand new) the installation looks pretty simple or so I thought, I figured the power cable connects to the lighter plug in the car but once I do that the garmin doesn't charge I don't know if its my cable or if

it may very well be your car lighter either a bad,loose, or no connect. check the fuses too, best,easiest, and fastest way try it in another car or a few just to be sure. bc if it dont work for all the cars then obviously its not your car, maybe the wire
