Is the Garmin MSN Direct Receiver GDB 50 compatible with Garmin Nuvi 265T?

i don't think it'll work. whats the reason you want to msn? it already has the fm traffic compatible.

Both are selling for $179. Very limited reviews on the 265 except sound quality is not good for bluetooth. It won't matter because my Samsung SCH U 740 is not compatible with nuvi 265T.

Which would be the best to buy?

Without question get the 265T. I believe that Bluetooth is not the only big difference. With the 265T, you also get a FM traffic receiver built-in, which is a nice service where available (coverage is still spotty but getting better).
