I want to register my Garmin Nuvi 255W at www.garmin.com but i do not know what product name to select from the drop down list when they ask for the serial number.Can someone help?

You want to enter the 8 or 9 digit serial number on the bottom of the unit that is in the outlined box - don't worry about the drop down list when they're asking for the serial number. That is only to help you find the serial number on the Garmin unit

I just got a new GPS. I set it up and I guess I didn't have a good view of the sky when it did the initial acquiring satellite thing because it continually tells me I am in Toronto, Ontario when in fact I am in Vancouver, British Columbia. How can I reset

When you turn you GPS on it will locate it current position. Make sure it has a clear view of the sky. If when you first turned it on did you mark the location shown as Home? If so you need to delete that location and remark the correct location. Hope
