Garmin - nüvi 260w GPS outdoor.

I have a Garmin 260W GPS, but I can't seem to get the device to speak the street names. I bought this unit on Ebay, and it's advertised to speak the street names. Would I have to configure the unit? If so, how would I go about getting my unit to speak
It should do that straight out of the box. Perhaps you have mute on.

does the garmin 260w speak the actual street names in real time
like in 500 feet turn right on main street????
thanks
