My battery isn't quite dead yet, but I'd like to know if, when the time comes, if the internal lithium-ion battery can be replaced. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers to all. :)

Why don't you just go to the Garmin website and ask them the question? They can give you the best asnwer to your question. Don't you think so?

My son wants a GPS for his bike races that can be up to 800 miles (usually in France or Italy). I was told Garmin makes the best GPS units for bikes. Is this true?

Its going to last your son along time hopefully. I also use it for kayaking just to measure how quickly I am going. Its a good all around unit that could be applied to more than the normal bicycle computer.
