Will the Garmin Forerunner 305 interact in real time with programs like Microsoft Streets and Trips?

I was wonering if anyone has tried to use one in real time? For example, I want to drive across the country and use it with my laptop to tell me were I am right now, and when to turn much like if I had another GPS system. I spoke to the nice folks at
Looking at my copy of Streets and Trips, it needs an NMEA 2.0 compatible GPS. What I have been able to find the 305 is not NMEA compliant, and only talks Garmin transfer protocol.

friends i went running with to day have the same gps as me and the time had been put back one hour automatically have looked at instruction manual but no help there.
Hold on, Ill just check mine too. Looks to be working right. Did you let yours acquire a Satellite? Try it again and see
