I am looking top buy a GARMIN Forerunner 405 but im getting confused in whether or not i need to buy the foot pod to allow me to see my pace?
Are there any other watches "good" that shows pace and distance ran?
The Garmin Forerunner 405 does not use a foot pod, it is completely gps. My friend has the 405 but it sucks at pace. The distance is about right, but the pace is always like 11:00 mile. My other friend has a 205 which seems very accurate always around
Is it ready to go out the box or do I have to buy something to put on my leg to keep track of pace n distance etc.. ?
The Garmin 305 is a GPS watch so all you need for it to work out of the box is the unit itself.
The first time you turn it on it will take slightly longer to find a Satellite but after this initial tuning period, on subsequent runs it
