I bought my girlfriend a Garmin Forerunner 50 with foot pod and heart rate monitor for Christmas. She will be studying abroad in Denmark next semester, and I'd like to know if the foot pod (GPS enabled to track distance) will work there. I know some

The Forerunner 50 doesn't use GPS.

The foot pod more-or-less functions like a pedometer comparable to the Nike Plus system. If you want GPS, you need to move up to something like the Forerunner 205, 305, or 405.

I have a problem with the foot pad measuring speed. It is very close to the speed when I am on the treadmill until I go over 5 MPH. Then the readings are very erratic. Any ideas. I've only had this about 5 days. Tried replacing the battery on the foot

Ok.
First do you have the receipt.
if you do maybe you can get your money back.
Two, treadmills can be really erratic.
Readings could not be accurate, or the treadmill is messing itself up.
