What are the differences between the Garmin Forerunner 405 and the Garmin Forerunner 405CX?

The only difference I know of is that the 405CX has heart-rate based calorie computation (how much more accurate is this than the 405?). Are there any other differences? Can I track my swim with either of these watches? Would you recommend either of these

The major difference between the two devices is the 405CX has a heart rate based calorie calculator. The Garmin 405 doesn't use heart rate data when trying to calculate calories. Also, especially for female athletes with smaller

which one is better? I want to see heart rate, distance, calories, and I want to transfer it to my computer. (both of them can do that).
what I like about the Forerunner is the Training Buddy,
in the Polar I like the Running Index feature..
The Garmin unit has a GPS that will plot where you run on a map when you connect to the computer. However, the GPS doesn't work indoors while the Polar footpod will. You can of course always buy a footpod for the Garmin but at an extra cost.
