Runner's World Gear Editor reviews the Garmin Forerunner 310 XT. In his words, "this gadget is the bomb".

Hi I'm thinking of buying the Garmin 310XT for running, but I may study abroad in Switzerland next year.. Will my watch still work or not?
well if it runs from a gps then it should work
which one has better value for its price?
This is all fine, but it did not solve the fact that I need some new goals, I wrote here, I do not have my own opinions, feel and become stagnant, began to make excuses, rather than training and to make any bad signs, and August, autumn, in my eyes, is about to start poking its head around the corner. The first is the Olympic distance (1.4 km Swim/40KM Bike/10KM run) Uster Triathlon, which in August 28 日 (Sunday), and in a very lazy start time 12 noon!I did that once before in 2009, I remember very difficult, especially in the bike, it uses Nei Ironman Switzerland, of course, swimming climbing a large part, because it was my first time (only) with 1.4 km of open water, swimming without a diving suit, the day the water temperature about 24 degrees!...
I always drool over gear. Actually I was drooling over a Quraq power-meter, and how I could get the brand new Garmin with it. I was trying my damnedest to rationalize and justify spending upwards of 2-grand for a training tool. To make it seem like not a lot I started looking at the new beautiful speed machines (bikes) on the market right now. They are so clean, with integrated front ends, and internal housing. They just beg to go fast. I thought about the Quarq/Garmin set-up. Eventually I pulled myself away. I didn't wanna add 2-grand to my debt. My attention was fully drawn at the Garmin 310xt. But this is the first year its been out, so there's still some bugs, and reviews have been mixed. That was enough for me to move on and to look into the Garmin 305. On Amazon it had over 1800-reviews with either 4 or 5-stars. The next day I had no problem pulling the trigger on it on Amazon, after I found out that it had just been discontinued.
