I have a garmin gps forerunner and it hooks up to the computer by a parallel cable, how do I connect it to my laptop which dont have parallel connections now? Is it garbage or is there any way to bypass this?
Are you sure your Forerunner uses a parallel connection? That connector is very wide and flat. I am fairly certain the Forerunner uses a serial cable. This connector is two rows high and maybe five pins wide. The parallel connector has many more pins.

I'm going on a weeklong bike ride (see http://aidslifecycle.org/1737 ) and want to use my Forerunner GPS to log my ride data. But we'll be camping between rides, so there will be no electricity. Is there a way to charge the Forerunner using external disposable
you didn't specify which model forerunner - the ones that use a lithium ion battery can charge off 12V (like a cigarette lighter plug) if you get the optional 12V adapter or even off a laptop computer (put Forerunner into cradle and attach USB/mini USB

I bought a replica of a problem this topic, but it is like new.
The man's platinum ring main advantage is its visual simplicity and use. It looks like a normal watch, but when you need to motor function, to meet your needs. I watch as a guide, is a very good play when you choose the path of one of the driving. You can export to "Google Earth", and Google Earth layers, you can use to scan the map. This is a very important direction. Heart rate monitor and GPS. You can view and compare your heart rate, running or climbing at high altitude.Reporters using the framework is good, but sometimes can be tricky.
Battery life is around 8 hours of training with the GPS (which is reasonable, while the GPS chip receives large amounts of current). But I think two weeks in power save mode should be longer, it does not use some features to look at energy saving mode, but still eat the battery consumption.
I sold a few months to buy cheap discount, the price, I was hooked. So, when I saw the renovation of the unit, I think this is the "right" price. Equipment and its wine "as new" state of the product documentation. It is cold in Ohio, so I can only be responsible for the race and use my indoor bike trainer. So far, highlighted by a heart rate monitor, GPS and "ANT +" wireless synchronization. I recently received the bike, so I can see my speed, CAD computer-aided design, and burned, and I coach the internal heat. Unit 405 does not count calories if you use it while cycling coach ... no cycle of extra components....
Ok, ok...Dr. Twilight is back. Tonight I will go for an unscheduled 5-mile run in my new abode and you peeps better hold me to it. I get my Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS/Heart rate monitor tomorrow unless someone steals it from my mailbox (something which has apparently occurred at my apartment complex), which will hopefully allow me to plan my runs more accurately. For now, wish me luck on the first run in a very, very, very long time.
